Outboard Motor Locs Ltd (OML Ltd)
OML Ltd have been
designing Outboard Motor Locks since 1992.
The locks are all mechanical security locks
using rotary locking devices made by Abloy,
IFAM and Alko. These designs use the best
locks available, and give you peace
of mind. They are constructed entirely
from Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel and
machined using the latest CAM CAD CNC Techniques.
This material in its circular configurations
offers a "non grip" surface for
protection against the burglars or thieves
tools.
We
produce outboard engine
motor slot locks, outboard engine motor
bolt locks and outboard engine motor
clamp locks. Many of the security outboard
engine motor locks are easy to install
and the other models need only a few
simple tools. The advantages of the Abloy
and IFAM lock cylinders is that they
minimize corrosion as they have no springs
or pins. No wear
occurs when inserting the key and if
oil or grease is used the mechanism is
insensitive to moisture, frost and dirt.
With the many thousands of key combinations
offered, together with a high resistance
to drilling and physical attack these
locks are virtually theft proof as they
are stated by the manufactures to be
unpickable.
OML
have been developing their world renowned
range of security products for the
last fourteen years and was officially
registered as OML Ltd on 1 January
2001. The products available today
are as a result of stringent and effective
research work carried out under Freewinds
Designs and Loc Secure from 1993 -
2000. The outboard engine motor locks
are designed and manufactured directly
from trade commissions (i.e. the
design of the locks is carried out
with trade approval and supervision).
Our
aim is to provide you with a product that is reliable,
effective and will give you peace of mind.
During this period the locks have undergone extensive
review and testing by a number of police forces in
the UK, Europe and Australia. Further evaluation has
been carried out by leading insurance companies in
Australia, Europe and the UK in particular, Hong Kong
and USA.

the last three years a number of magazines have conducted
marine surveys in which OML products have constantly
proved to be the most effective deterrent. Click

the feedback we receive, we constantly develop our
products to provide you with the best maritime security
product that we can. Recently we have been involved
in the writing of S112 with Sold Secure. This work
was sponsored by BMF and was aimed at providing a universal
ICOMA standard for testing outboard engine motor locks.
